Quitting Weed With Cannabis Coach

Is It Possible To Quit Weed With The Use Of Audio Pod Casts?

This story is true, I only changed my friends’ name for privacy reasons

Just a month ago, I met an old weed smoker friend of mine when I was back in Holland for a couple of days to visit my family. We started chatting about the good old days and remembering our mutual friends and all that.

There wasn’t much to discuss because frankly, we were stoned all the time we spend together. And soon enough we ran out of chitchat and cut to the chase.

If Istill smoked weed and of course I answered negative. “Neither do I” he said and it stunned me. Good old Joe no longer a smoker? Then what the hell do you do all day I asked him, cause I only knew him as ‘smokey weed stake from sunrise to sunset and beyond’.

So then the conversation started to take off as he told me what most smokers one day experience. Total burnout, fear and self loathing of all the lost years. I told how I quit weed successfully and had a family and even a site on how to quit weed and I wondered what he did to quit marijuana.

Cannabis Coach Quitting Program

Then he told me a remarkable story and I almost shit my pants cause I knew what he was talking about. The cannabis coach program.
I have had a banner up on my site for that program for a while now , but I never met anyone I knew who did the program and I was extremely curious about the results. Of course the result was right in front of me but this program claims it will keep you clean almost effortlessly for at least a month.
Now that is a bold claim as many of you will agree with. First times I really was motivated to quit I never stayed clean for more that a week if at all.

But Joe told me that he did have some craving, but the first really hard time he had, said he, was after 5 or 6 weeks when he met up with our old smoking and billiards gang. He confirmed the Cannabis Coach claim and said it was like a walk in the park the first couple of weeks. The hard part, as with me too, is getting the mindset that it’s ok to get high out of your system.

And that is something even the Cannabis Coach program cannot do for you. But, he continued, the programm got him over the first barrier and that gave him the power to keep at it.
And there lies a deep truth in that. If you know you can stay clean effortlessly for a month, you know you can do it again and again if necessary and that might give you enough self-confidence to keep working and developing yourself to be a better person.

Since I was able to quit weed myself without the cannabis coach I cannot say if Cannabis Coach is the real deal or not. All I can say is that if Joe kicked the habit with the help of CC it must be a good program.

cannabis coach

What is Cannabis Coach?

The Cannabis coach program consists several multimedia presentations in which the Cannabis Coach reveals the secret of why Cannabis is so addictive and how to get rid of the cravings in both body and mind. Most modules are audio and you can listen to them on your Ipod, in your car or in the privacy of your home.

There are many raving reviews circulating the web, all saying basically the same thing: that it works. So you’re totally right to be sceptic of the thing. I would be in any case.

And if you use your common sense, nobody in his right mind would believe a handful of audio and video sessions are going to cure you right? So to hell with those shady, so-called reviews. They’re just another desperate way to make a buck of some desperate people.

Is Cannabis Coach A Scam?

But it’s no reason to think the product is a scam. It has positive testimonials and these must be genuine by law. And I have met and talked with someone I know was a heavy smoker and the program worked for him.

Besides, the product has been successfully on the market for several years now. And if it was really that bad, its reputation can be destroyed almost overnight. This the Internet ! So I think it cannot be all fluff.

The Most Important Question You Should Ask Yourself

Do I really want to quit? that’s all. Because if you do, you can be helped and a product like Cannabis Coach might work for you. Or any other form of help for that matter. No matter how weak or strong you are, if you want to quit weed, you might as well try anything that may help.

So Do I recommend Cannabis Coach?

Well, I can’t recommend it, since I didn’t try it. So I would be lying when I say you should buy it.

All I know is that it worked for a guy I had given up already and that it has a 60 day money back guarantee, so that’s long enough to check it out and see if it works for you too.

Final Word Of Warning

I’m not gonna beat around the bush here. If you decide to purchase the Cannabis Coach Program via this site, I will get a commission and I’ll be grateful. If you don’t, that’s okay. You’re here to quit weed , not fill my pockets.

Right, back to my friend Joe.

He finally got his life on track with a job he likes to do, good health (only the occasional cigarette) and -he told me with a smirky grin on his face- a sex-life. Yup, now Joe has a girlfriend (another jaw dropper for me) and they’re expecting their first baby this summer.

I wish Joe and his family all the best.

Is It Genetic?

The other day I was watching the new Zeitgeist Movie on Youtube and there was an interesting part about addiction. There was a doctor who works with people with addiction all the time and he stated the following:

Addiction has nothing to do with genes or the likes of it. When people say that their addiction is hereditary because of other drinkers, smokers or drug abusers in their family, they seem to forget the reality of their daily lives.

Are they drinking because their dad was an alcoholic or because they are trying to come to terms with some childhood trauma they are trying so hard to forget?

Are you smoking weed because you are trying to lighten the psychological load of your daily life? Or because your parents smoke too? Is it genetic? I don’t think so

I believe that tendency to addiction has everything to do with your surroundings and nothing with your genes. I too had to go through some difficult times before I even was ready to quit my party and drug habits. But with some ups and downs I managed and now I’m glad for it.

What I am trying to say is that if you want to quit weed, you probably have to solve a deeper underlying problem first and the weed quitting part will be like a walk in the park.

Saying your problem is genetic is more of a bad excuse than ever if you believe you can change your life. If you feel you have a drug problem, nine out of ten times it’s more than just the weed.

To your quitting success.

Do you need to Quit Weed?

Quit Weed; What Kind of Smoker are You?

Many weed smokers say it’s nonsense to rant about weed and how bad it is for you, how it’s poisoning society and makes us want more and heavier substances. True, some of the talk is slightly over the top and even beside the truth.

That brings me to a more subtle approach. I guess smoking marijuana is not all bad, but it can get to be a dangerous habit, affecting you and the people close to you.

So let’s see what kind of a smoker you are and if you are in the ‘danger zone’ or just playing on the green fields of laughter. After browsing around in some forums, I could distinguish four kinds of marijuana users:

  • The Curious Snoopy: Snoopy wants to know what all the fuss is about. He hears stories of fun times, altered state of consciousness and wants to see if it works for him too. He will take marijuana a couple of times and leave it at that. This person is usually not sensitive to addiction.
  • The Medicine Man: He uses weed as a means to gain insight, to look at life from a different point of view. Marijuana is a medicine to relax, alter consciousness or relieve pain. He is usually a person with strong personality and will power.
  • The Person that smokes all day but functions perfectly. These people can smoke from morning to evening, you won’t notice much. They do their job, have a laugh, they have a life. They have strong personality and are sensitive to addiction.
  • The Addict: Weed is the goal for the addict. Recognizable by a hacking cough and a grey-ish expression in the face. Smoking is a life, no longer a lifestyle. Stoned all the time, often depressed and lacks perspective. Procrastinates a lot. He is very sensitive to addiction.

I know that the first two won’t do any harm and are by no means in any danger. The other two however, will get (mental) health problems in the long run and it’s advisable that they quit weed now.

The type of smoker you are has a lot to do with your personality and genetic heredity. Addiction is proven to be genetic and therefore hereditary. That’s why marijuana is addictive to some (like chocolate or alcohol) and just fun and harmless to others. Nonetheless, regular use does have effects on memory and personality and of course health (ugh ugh).

What kind of smoker are you?

So I Quit Weed, What Now?

When the Smoke Clears after quitting weed

Let’s pretend we’ve stopped smoking weed for a good two months. What now? It’s time to give your life some meaning! You may pursue your long buried ambitions or if you don’t have any, you can start pursuing your dreams, because I am certain you got those back ;)

And if you are really clueless, no worries, help is on the way. Here’s a couple of Ideas:

  • Start blogging : I personally found that being active instead of passive on the Internet was a real eye-opener. I was able to write my stories and thoughts -however boring they may be- and canalize my creativity. And by now I am actually making some money too -oh joy! Just don’t get into it for the money alone, this will only cost you money… Just try it out. If you experience any difficulties, drop me a mail and I’ll give you a push in the right direction (for free of course). Trust me, it’s fun!
  • Go get that job! This is serious: Go after that job you want. Actively. Instead of circling job ads in the paper, try calling straight away. If you’re lucky, you’ll get an interview. If not, you save yourself the trouble of circling and dreaming about it. You know what I mean….
  • Sports Sports The best way to blow of steam. My personal advice: Try indoor climbing or bouldering. It will rock your world. You will never have felt closer to your inner self. Give it a go, it’s cheaper than an ounce of weed and you’ll reap the benefits for life. And don’t think you’re too old! You’re new and vital remember?
  • Go and broaden your knowledge and go back to school, or through self study. You have been procrastinating long enough now. Time to see if you’re really as smart as you thought. Warning: This can be a sobering experience. My Tip: I started studying medicinal herbs. I knew everything about cannabis already, now it was time to meet its brothers and sisters of the herbal garden.

And there are tons of other things to do. Anything that comes to mind is pursue-able, as long as it isn’t weed.

Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Motivations to Quit Weed

Nothing works better a new responsibility or a new goal as a  motivation to quit weed! Or is it?

It’s what I was thinking as I heard my girlfriend was pregnant and I was going to be a dad. And to celebrate I build a big spliff… That’s the problem. It’s not your child or new job that’s going to make you quit weed. More realistically, it will probably be a very embarrassing situation that will wake you up, but won’t make you stop.

The only thing that can make you break the habit is YOU and your motivation. And a healthy new relationship can definitely give you a push in the right direction. As was the case with my son.

The first one and a half year my son was most of the time cared for by his mom, but when she went back to a full time job again I really had to dig in and get a grip. Don’t get me wrong, I loved being around him and play with him, but getting out of bed at 5 a.m. and that with a smile is something else. I had to get into his daily rhythm or plainly be a sucker for a dad.

This was decision time. Either give up my habits or live with the consequences. Being a bad father being the least scary of them. So I did it . I stopped smoking at night to be more fresh in the morning. And slowly but surely I quit weed and drinking too much at parties too. Gradually I became more focused on my family and less on my habit. That’s the moment I liberated myself. And the payoff is huge. And unexpected. My relationship to my son improved drastically, I got genuinely interested in how he gets on and how my family gets on. The only word I can think of is enrichment.

And that is how successful quitting generally works. At the base stands the will to quit however. It has to be there, in some form or another. You have to want to change. And a laughing kid beside your bed at 5 a.m. is a great motivation.

Quitting Marijuana and Depression

Stopping Marijuana can lead to Depression

Many people who smoke weed or who stopped smoking marijuana suffer from depression in one form or another.  Some suffer from severe depression, others from a milder form of depression. There are tons of reasons for people being depressed, so let us stick to marijuana use and depression.

NOTE: I am not trying to give cannabis use the blame of people being depressed! I only want to make clear the connection between quitting weed and feeling down.

Signs of depression

  1. Concentration problems
  2. Low self esteem
  3. Sleeping problems
  4. Eating problems, either too much or too little
  5. Strange pains
  6. Tired and bored easily

And there are many more signs, but these are generally the more common ones. And as you might have figured out yourself, all these symptoms are interconnected. One leads to another. Having bad night’s sleep leads to pain in the joints, back and muscles. It also makes you tired and tedious. And eating too much can lead to sleeping problems. So it’s no use treating such symptoms one at a time, they must be seen and treated as one problem.

How does Marijuana fit in the Depression symptoms?

A major cause of depression is the lack of or a serious shortage of the neurotransmitters dopamine and /or serotonin. These are ‘chemicals’ produced by our brain that make us feel happy, saturated or satisfied. Many drugs, like XTC and amphetamines stimulate our brain to produce dopamine, therefore giving us the good feeling. But over time the brain gets worn out and produces less and less of these chemicals, making you feel hollowed out and tired. In one word: Depressed

Marijuana does not exactly do this, but it does something similar.

Smoking marijuana  on a regular bases makes your brain get used to the THC. And

your body gets used to the nausea we call ‘High’. THC disrupts the natural production and effects of these neurotransmitters. It will only produce dopamine and serotonin when THC molecules enter the brain (this might not be biochemically correct, but I hope you get the point). Or you will not feel the proper effects of dopamine and serotonin because your brain is numbed by the THC.

This can be the cause of (slight) depression when you’re a regular weed smoker.

And it can work the other way round as well. As you stop smoking marijuana, the lack of THC disrupts the production neurotransmitters too, and this might lead to low down feelings and stronger forms of depression too.

Dealing with Depression as a cause of quitting Marijuana

Feeling depressed after you’ve quit marijuana is a common symptom. In most cases it’s a matter of perseverance and being patient. Over time, your body and brain will find their natural rhythm again and will start producing the right quantities of dopamine again. It will take about two weeks before you sleep easier and then most other symptoms of depression will disappear.

If depressions don’t reside, I advise you to seek professional help.

TIP: Healthy food. Cut down on meat. Try to eat protein rich, fresh ingredients. And beer is well known for its mild anti- depressive effects. But take it easy on the beer ;)

Stop smoking cannabis now!

Three reasons to stop smoking cannabis

We all know it, but here we go again. This time I’ll give you three simple benefits that might help help you stop smoking cannabis.

Let me sum them up for ya: Self esteem, ambition and vitality. Yeah I know, there’s tons more, but let’s just stick those that are important to make a leap forward in life after you have stopped smoking cannabis.

This is how it works in a nutshell: A renewed and higher(pardon my french) self esteem will start up your ambitions seriously this time. And taking action to achieve those ambitions will reinvigorate you. You’ll feel alive again when you have a task and when you are motivated at it. Let’s break the process down.

Stop Smoking Cannabis to regain Self-Consciousness

A regular weed consumer has a very different attitude towards life than a moderate or non consumer. Not the wrong one per se, but different nonetheless. More laid-back, a more passive approach to life so to say. The smoker knows what he or she can do but the smoker usually does not act upon these capabilities. The self consciousness is fogged by the weed. And as time goes on and the smoker doesn’t act, self esteem will be lower too.

When you stop smoking cannabis, the fog clears, and you become conscious of the surrounding world. Like it or not. After a while you must do something, get a new job, study, travel wide, whatever. I started blogging for instance. And with that the wheel of life comes into motion. Small steps forward can be seen as a success, and slowly your self esteem will rise.

The Rise of Ambition

So you’ve quit weed successfully now and you need a project. Either you create one yourself or someone creates one for you. Your boss for instance. Having a (new) responsibility  and working with it will awaken the ambition in you.

Okay, ambition might sound like an ugly word, but it is what it is. No need to be scared of something you haven’t felt for years. Ambition is a normal thing. It starts with speaking out what you desire to achieve. Don’t have to let the whole world know, but don’t keep your ambition private either, that only leads to frustration. Just share your desire with somebody and always keep the big picture of your ambition in mind.

Quit Smoking Cannabis and regain your Vitality

Now it’s time to work on achieving your goals. But before you start you must set your goals and design a step by step plan. Slowly catchy monkey. Set small, achievable and (most importantly) realistic goals. Let every achievement be a victory on your fears. Increase self consciousness step by step and you will feel it! Reward yourself every time you have reached a goal and didn’t celebrate it with smoking a joint (I know how hard you deserve that joint, but it’s not the way to go).

This where the pitfall’s at: You start feeling alive and happy, and you get so psyched up with good feelings that you don’t know how to channel them. It’s extremely easy now to fall back and use weed to chill down. this when the danger of relapse is at its greatest.

Weed and Heart Problems

About Weed and Heart Problems

Hi , Andi here. First of all here comes a very single minded, personalized post. I have no scientific proof for what I am about to say.

It all started last week during a job I had in Switzerland(well known for it’s liberal policy on marijuana). We were working long hours in the pouring rain and guess what? I got very wet and fell ill the next day. So ill, I couldn’t even find the strength to get out of bed.

Next day I had to leave the hotel and drive home ill. It was like being extremely stoned and I felt it was irresponsible to drive but did so anyway. Rings a bell anywhere?

When I got home I went to the hospital directly and after an hour of searching and testing they decided to put me in Intensive Care. I was stung and injected with syringes so many times in a couple of hours that I looked as shot up as junkie..

I have a weed and a heart problem

I have a myocardial inflammation. An inflammation of the heart. A heart problem at only 34 years old. Boy does that suck…. So here I am, writing this post on a hospital bed with a pain in the chest. Surrounded by old men.

This will take months to heal and I won’t be able to climb and ski hard for maybe years to come. OK , I should be happy to be alive and all, but then again, no more active stuff that keeps me from smoking weed for months!

Now the big question is how it has come this far? The doctors say it is extremely hard to determine the source of my condition but many agree that it is a result of over-doing it for a longer period of time. Too much partying, too much work, too much sports and all that. Not curing out your colds. And after years of doing so at some point it reaches your heart. BAM!

I did all of that and thus it is obvious some kind of physical collapse would happen at some time or other.

I am not saying that weed is solely responsible for my suffering, but sure it must play a part in the equation.  During my smoking years I have paid little heed to my health. Man , I even smoked weed when I had a cold and fever. That is not beneficial for the healing process.

So if not directly, the long term use of weed indirectly leads to physical neglecting and so to unforeseeable health problems. Another great reason to quit weed now.

Drawbacks

Drawbacks of long term cannabis use

Have you ever resorted to weed due to the excess stress in your daily life? Do you find peace in it? Do you feel like it is taking away all your tensions and gifting your sound sleep? Well it’s just a matter of few years. If you do not know yet, then you will be shocked to learn about all the long-term health-hazards caused by excessive use of cannabis. And once you know them, I believe you will refrain from touching the weed ever again and start looking for quit smoking tips everywhere.

The Δ9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) present in cannabis plant themselves on the membranes of the brain’s nerve cells and hamper the regular cellular reactions causing the nausea or “high” often enjoyed by weed consumers. This is very harmful to your body. Some of the drawbacks of long-term use of cannabis are listed below:

  • Hallucinations, schizophrenia, loss of concentration, memory, time perception and co-ordination in movement, trouble in proper thinking and problem solving capabilities.
  • Decreases the capacity of the blood vessels to carry oxygen, increases heart beat rate, raises blood pressure and increases the tendency of having heart attack.
  • Due to longer exposure of the lungs to the hemp smoke than tobacco ones, the carcinogenic hydrocarbons present in it cause more severe cough, wheeze, lung infection, blocked airways, emphysema and many times lung cancer.
  • It also has adverse psycho-social effects on the consumer, high addictive tendency and is a poison during pregnancy.

Be cautious enough to quit as soon as you encounter the stop smoking symptoms like sore throat, chest cough, headaches, insomnia, mood swings, lack of concentration and too much longing for the grass. Don’t wait; else it’ll be too late!

Relapse

I had a relapse..

Writing and living life sober I think I lost track somewhere. I met a  friend who -as it happens- grows the best weed in town.

I told him proudly about my blog and while I was talking, guess what?, he lit a SPLIFF! How could I resist? In the heat of a great explanation about how quitting weed has improved my life I unhesitatingly took the smoke and had a deep, long puff. Sweet… Relapse

##*dfvmn blast it! All I have written in the past weeks blown away! I’m really having a confrontation with my own beliefs now.. What ever, too late now.. just had to let you know.

I’m not blaming my friend though, he’s a straight up guy who accidentally grows the best quality in the entire region here.

It’s me that took the bait. So i guess I will start again, from the top. Gotta get back to the top first too. Oh dammit!

But I guess that’s a lesson to be learned here folks! Just can’t seem to let go of Mary Jane..

That’s what I mean with dope being part of your personality, the shit just won’t leave the system. Really nasty . Now I will have to come up with some new motivation to stop smoking weed.

All the same, when I’m sober again I will show you  my new road to abstinence on camera! Andy Kaufmann is going live! I want to be on facebook, twitter and all! I will keep y’all posted on all new ventures.

When my plans work out I’ll be the first to let you know. This is gonna be great!

That’s all for tonight folks,

Bless you all.
